Mercedes-Benz SL 107 RHD Dashboard Cover (Black)
The cabin of your Mercedes-Benz is a work of art and is part of what makes driving your car so special. Unfortunately, trim pieces located around the cabin will become faded, brittle and even crack over time which can detract from the look of your interior.
These dashboard covers provide an alternative to replacing your entire dashboard and help protect from interior damage or deterioration, a high quality special-order item to protect your Classic Mercedes-Benz interior from damage or to mask unsightly, faded dashboards.
What you need
Grease-dissolving cleaner
Cleaning cloth
fine sandpaper
sharp knife/razor blade
silicon glue
Preparation
1. Check your cover for damage
2. Temporarily place the cover on your dashboard to check the shape and make sure
you got the correct cover
3. Now lightly sand your old dashboard and the underside of the new cover If your cover hassevere or protruding cracks, you may have to grind them down. If there are small parts
protruding from the ABS on the cover, these can be removed with the blade
4. Then clean both surfaces with a grease-dissolving cleaner and check the fit again
Installation
1. Prepare the glue by placing the glue in hot water to make it easier to work with
2. Gently apply the glue to the bottom of your cover. Draw a line of glue along all the holes
and openings. Make sure to leave a gap of at least 1.7cm from the edges
3. Avoid putting glue in the center of the cover. Try to use as little glue as necessary
4. Now place the cover in its final position on the dashboard and check whether the cover
is in line with all vents and edges
Suitable for SL/SLC 107 RHD models without climate sensor.
