What is it?

Mercedes-Benz SL 107 Hood Release Handle, a high quality reproduction unit of OE part number - 1077580488.

Where does it go?

The hood release handle fits in the rear cabin of the car, mounted behind the front seats. It is connected to the cable mechanism of the roof and allows the safety catch to engage and disengage for correct functioning of the roof.

Why do I need it?

Designed to the high quality of Mercedes-Benz, the hood release handle can become damaged, worn or non-responsive over time. We have seen cars with heavily degraded chrome or even the ends snapped off.

What are my options?

There are no options to choose with this part. It fits all variants of SL, including both right and left hand drive cars spanning all years and engines.

An SL only needs one of these.
