Mercedes-Benz SL R107 Rear Sport Anti-Roll Sway Bar
DESCRIPTION
Suitable for all R107 SL Models from 1971 - 1989.
What is it?
Anti-roll bars help reduce the body roll of a vehicle during fast cornering or over road irregularities.
Where does it go?
The anti roll bar mounts to the lower suspension arm, and using a link bar kit goes across the bottom of your R107 to the opposite side.
Why do I need it?
The main purpose of anti-roll bars is to force each side of the vehicle to lower, or rise, to similar heights, to reduce the sideways tilting of the vehicle on curves, sharp corners, or large bumps.
It has 2 main functions:
Reduce body lean
Tune the handling of your R107.
It connects opposite wheels together through short lever arms linked by a torsion spring.
Designed to the high quality of SportLine, the sway bar only fits models with aluminium rear trailing arms and anti-squat suspension; this helps to obtain the ideal balance between handling and ride.
Please note: this unit must also be used with a original Mercedes-Benz clamp.
Overall diameter: 23mm.
The steel used in the manufacture of the roll bar is heat treated.
This product is powder coated in satin black.
The moulded poly bushes are made from a selected resin to compliment the composition of the roll bar.
