The purose of this high quality reconditioned rear brake drum is to generate consistent braking force whether the vehicle travels forward or backward. This is because drum brakes generate the same braking force in either direction.

It could be dangerous when the drum brakes become worn to the point where they can no longer produce the needed force to stop the vehicle, therefore, to ensure maximum safety of your vehicle we would always advise to monitor this part and replace if required.
