DESCRIPTION
Suitable for R107 SL Models but specifically designed for Models between 1986 - 1989.
This is a complete front valance spoiler for later facelift cars. It is our own exclusive reproduction, made from high quality high strength fibreglass, built to original Mercedes-Benz specification. It replaces original part number: A1077900488.
A brief history of the R107 SL’s front spoiler:
1971 to 1972 – The very early cars had no front lower spoiler, leaving the radiator exposed.
1973 to 1980 – Cars from this era featured a hard plastic front spoiler, which was 145cm wide. We supply our own GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) item, click here!
1980 to 1985 – From around 1980, until the final facelift models arrived, the SL used a flexible plastic front spoiler. This is not an easy part to obtain.
1986 to 1989 - For the final facelift of the R107 SL, a complete plastic unit was produced including the grill panels in one large piece.
This late model spoiler bolts directly over the steel painted valance.
Measurements: 136cm x 17cm x 17cm.
As with all our ‘Exclusive’ products, we build to our own specification - if it isn’t good enough to put on a SLSHOP car, we won’t sell it.
